Here is my new transparent rack trunk on the Viscount Sebring. At 283g including 2 bungee cords, it is half the weight of my previous trunk, holds twice as much in the same space, and costs $2.19 at Target. Plus it doubles as a wash basin, laundry tub, and license plate holder.

Perfect size for that rack, which I'm happy to see you've mounted so that it's horizontal. As someone who's a bit obsessed with finding the perfect portaging set-up (pro tip: it doesn't exist), I say well done! b

Ingenious. The plate on the back is a nice touch. I like these cost effective ideas or repurposing an item for cycling which will work perfectly fine. I looked into buying a nice Carradice saddle bag for my 3 Speed but for how much I use it couldn’t justify the price, so ended up using a Polish Army bread bag. 115B448E-0660-4219-9033-3A8E42881B42 by Franco_AC, on Flickr

...ended up using a Polish Army bread bag. That bag creates a great vintage look. Brian

+1 to what Brian said. Beautiful bike with perfect bag. Great solution. Call that a +2 for a great solution, Franco. And Brian always seem to come up with something unique. In my opinion, it’s always best to tailor a bike solution to your needs. And that certainly doesn’t mean the most expensive way either. Great ideas abound on this forum. Best, John “wheelson”

Great size Brian. Any bigger and you could be getting some bounce around, even with hefty bungees?
I love that army bread bag Franco - that started me on a search for ex-army fabrics.
