Looks like a keen cycling blog from Southern Illinois, anyway, I might have a use to this if one ever loses a water bottle boss on a bike (or other places on the bike). This is a bit ingenuous and I do have a situation where I might need to do this. Now, I saw replicating the Viscount brake handles was a very dandy feat, tip of the hat to the poster for that. I thought this technical feat might be of interest, please see the full article at the link below. From the blog and this is the blog, Barndoor cycling: barndoorcycling.wordpress.com/2012/09/12/installing-a-bottle-cage-bosses-using-riv-nuts/ , you see the cyclist lost his water bottle boss. One might read the methodology the man uses and he uses a wheel hub to install the boss; with me so far? It looks like a wheel skewer mainly drills it in. I don't know if it wouldn't cost much if an LBS did this. One wouldn't think so. Still, it'd be fine to do it oneself. This kind of excited me because I thought it could be done and when I talked to the hardware store about it, the worker didn't have a clue about how such a problem could be solved, not a big deal at that, this isn't exactly a common problem. So, this is what one needs, riv-nuts.
