The fact some of these pictures appear to be in a garden with Buddhas and other Far East images in the background and that also, a beer bottle, San Miguel, Philippine Beer, is used to prop up the bike in kickstand fashion makes me wonder if the photos of this very pretty Viscount Sprint with a Cotter Crank were taken somewhere over in that area of the world. That mudguard looks awesome. My colleague is something similar. Totally great. Want, want, want. Perhaps for my fixie, if I ever build that bike, that is.

I seem to remember that this bike was up for grabs a while ago on either eBay or Gumtree.
I've seen the pictures before.
We've often marvelled at Viscount's parts inconsistencies model by model. By virtue of it's styling, I'd say late seventies for when this one was made. However, it's a 5-speed, but the Sprint I rode on the 'Sparrowfart' ride is 12-speed, and the rear hub is dated January 1983.
Another thought has entered my head - as well as the known parts inconsistencies, I wonder if Viscount also applied the transfers (decals) in a random fashion to whatever bike was moving along the production line?

I have had that thought too. Some of those later frames are identical apart from decal and a few components (and maybe colour options)
