Olimpic pedals, made in Spain. Kind of neat. So, like, what should my reaction be?? Expecting Viscounts? The cap on the pedal, yes, seems to be missing, a common occurrence really. Nice bike all around.

Kick, please don't feel obliged to have a reaction just because I have flagged a Gumtree ad, but it's always good to hear from you.
This Grand Sport uses Viscount's lightweight fillet brazed Aerospace frame and I thought it might be a bike that one or more of our members might be looking to add to their stables.
Olimpic pedals may have been a standard fitment at one point of the Viscount ranges' 'development', though the pair my GS have are Pistas, without the rounded end cage. One of the joys of Viscount ownership is figuring out which particular random selection of accessories were picked from the parts bins when they assembled yours.
The 'V' branded pedal end caps seems to be a common loss, so are now much sought after by members here. It is quite possible to see the eBay bidding for a pair of Viscount pedals with 'V' end caps pass the price of a complete bike without them.

Olimpics were fitted to quite a lot of Aerospace bikes from the late seventies to the end. My Aerospace 400 and 600ex (both 1981) had them. They didn't come with the V end caps, but shiny plastic ones. Despite being screw-in these seem to get lost as often as the Viscount ones. Real replacements are rare and tend to be expensive (better to buy complete pedals!) - I think they may be Campag-compatible. However, there are some MKS alloy ones that fit and are often less expensive. The thread is a bit long, but that could be filed or ground down and the MKS logo filed off.
