I bought another Viscount frame for a "someday" project. In a previous life, the frame was sent to a frame builder who threaded the bottom bracket (Italian threading). It is now like an old Windsor (from Mexico) which had a 68mm bb shell with Italian Threading. The job looks nice to me and perhaps knowing that it can be done, might be helpful.

I've just used threadless bottom brackets, they work well as long as you tighten them sufficiently. Cheers, Pete.

Jim, what frame is that? And what color? It looks like stainless or chrome in the photo, at least on my screen, but it's obviously painted, as I can see where the cups removed some from the BB edge.
Thanks!

Looks like an Aerospace frame to me, not stainless, not chrome. It came with a nice death fork. It was repainted in black, I see a bit of red under the black on the BB.

Yes, even on my screen that last pic shows it's black. Looks like an aerospace to me as well. Thanks again.
