Flags are being flown at half mast on government buildings as my Aerospace Pro reached the end of its useful life today. Doing my usual commute this morning, I heard an unusual squeak and there was a strange feeling to the bike. Looking down I saw that the seat tube was moving from side-to-side at the junction with the bottom bracket shell. I think the braze has broken. So, potentially a straightforward repair for a competent brazer: but would this cost more than a comparable frame?
So, the frame might be joining my collection (which contains only one other, thankfully) of Viscount frames cracked beyond economic repair. If anyone knows a good brazer, able to do fillet brazing, preferably in London, please let me know. Alternatively, an Aerospace frame, 23" or 23.5" / 60cm ...

Sorry to hear that,I'm sure it will be sorely missed. Good job it wasn't the Gold Lambert though! Might be time to bite the bullet and offer "auntie Wainright" in Holme Firth a few quid for her frame, probably cheaper than rebrazing. Best of luck either way. Cheers, Pete.
