Hi all, (bit of background for this) - when I got my first Viscount in winter either 80 or 81, a friend of mine had a black Viscount Colarado from the same shop at the same time.
He is 50 years old in January and I would like to surprise him with a gift....you can guess what I'm thinking of?
So, if anyone sees a decent example (he had black mudguards with silver band down, I think they'd be bluemells?) then can you drop me a line please?
Scott had one not long back and he offered it to me - but I hadn't properly thought of this idea until recently.

Can't help with the bike Jem but the mudguards will be Bluemels Classiques.

Super condition and great at that price. Looks like it may be the right guards too, though slightly damaged if my eyes don't deceive me. I've PM'd Jem as well as it'd be a massive shame to miss the chance.
There's a nice looking Sebring too but for a much heftier price tag (in Manchester). Just the right size for me and on my wish list, shame it's so much and particularly so far away **yearn**

Thanks to all who've pointed this out & messaged me.
I'm waiting to hear back from seller for a frame size. I fear it's going to be too big looking at head tube , which is a real shame.
My friend is same size as me, with pretty short inside leg.

Cheers Scott. No , I never did get sorted for one. My friend's 50th birthday was in January, but I could still get it. Bury St Edmunds would be a real pain in the backside to get to...so I've got to get it at a very low price to make it worth doing. Not that I am putting a price on a lifelong old pals friendship....but you know what I mean.? |
