I'm afraid I am on 'old faithful' again..Deore 18AX.
I have one, possibly two, friends coming along who will be riding my Aerospace 'Pro and 'Sport (if I can get them ready in the short space of time I have left)

I will hopefully have my GP and a recently purchased PRO , my wife will be debuing on the KP. I will ride the PRO with TUBS, hoping I have more luck thean Stoatie did last year with them. He soon caught up though as you would expect. That PRObike is so light it feels edgy , espetially down hill, its a wild ride. The GP is quite different to the PRO to ride, still good as well. Jem if you didnt have the AX there I would ask after it. Ray

Yesterday evening I extracted the gold Lambert from its hibernatorium in the shed, put some air in the tyres, tightened the brakes and wiped it with an oily rag. Today, it being fine, I am using it for me commute (5 miles / 8km each way). Always a nice ride, feels light and nippy even after my 600ax.
Planning to bring the Lambert and a.n. other on Saturday - probably the 600ax, but it could be a more basic bike if anyone needed one for the ride: either a flat bar Bitsa Viscount or my Aerospace Sport with bar end shifters. Or could be the 600ex, recently cleaned up.

Sorted the, admittedly, atrocious brakes on the G.P. today. Got the handlebar bag just in time, so I'm all set for tomorrow.

I'll be riding the low-tech 5-speed Sport.
If anyone needs a bike to ride, I'm also bringing the 12-speed Sprint and the 10-speed International which both have 23 1/2 inch frames.
I have for sale a 24 1/2 inch 'Team '82' frame which I'm also bringing along.

I'll be bringing my Sport. Undecided whether I'm going to risk the ride on tubs or change to clinchers yet.

Thanks for a truly 'Grand Day Out' from Phil and me. We managed to clock just over 100 miles by the time we got home, so a bonus Century day! As discussed, I did try to present the GS 'as found' today, which worked well until the front tyre popped! I'm sizing up the Brooks B17 from my other bike for a swap, but the 'affected parts' seem to have stood up quite well to the spongy-looking saddle already fitted. Thank goodness for Chamois cream! Best wishes to you all for a great evening, and safe journeys home. See you all next year!

AS you know by now, I came on the blue Aerospace Sport, well laden. The Thule strap-on rack is a good piece of kit but an unsatisfactory instruction book. I rather think I did the straps up wrong, as I now cannot remove the blighters. The mudguard stays performed above and beyond the call of duty, manging to prevent the rack and panniers and tent subsiding onto the wheel. I returned to Lichfield station via Burton, a lovely route taking in part of last year's DFR ride, along the A38 as you leave Burton. Had to ride alongside the A38 further south and it was not very enjoyable, but I was compensated by a small error which took me a loop around Church Road and Mill End Lane in Alrewas.

Correction - I took just 1 photo this weekend...it was of the Thule rack on your bike. It was a very interesting looking. So, it holds up well? Camera Roll-242 by Sooper 8, on Flickr
