I found a link to this cycle touring YouTube video on another forum, and thought I would watch a couple of minutes or so. I sat through all of it and could have watched another hour! I couldn't tear myself away.
In fact to call it a youTube video doesn't do it justice. This guy knows how to make a film and the camera work is a joy. I'd like to know what camera he's using. It is superb.
Give it 3 mins and see what you think. (I can't wait to find some time to watch his other films)

Gem, that was a jem! Just finished a 11 work day, sat down on the computer and found THIS! Didn't move an inch...just sat mesmerized by the beauty, courage and music the whole way through.
Cheers, and thanks for the link, Michael

Just took a look at the guy's website, www.bikewanderer.com. Jem, he's got all the details as to what gear and cameras he's using, plus more videos! Cheers, Michael

Recently remembered about this and have now managed to find the time to watch it.
What a great film of his amazing trip!
To get great footage like that on a solo trip would be difficult enough in perfect weather, and most people would be happy to survive temperatures of minus 30C whilst on a cycling and camping trip, but to have the motivation, photographic inspiration and skill, and the sheer extra effort on top of just surviving in that environment, is incredible.
Inspirational!

It takes some effort getting the camera out on ordinary little bike rides at home , so to go to all this trouble of setting up shots, cycling away leaving the camera and then doubling back to get it , show a huge dedication to documenting a trip. There are some more in that series too. From memory he does North West Canada down to South America?

It’s been over four years since Sooper8 brought this particular bicycle tourer to our attention.
Glad to say he’s still going strong, with some wonderful camera work, scenery, night and day time lapses, meeting lots of people, occasional tragedy, animals, and with a particular fondness for dogs.
30 episodes and lots of short films - rough around the edges at times, but always fascinating and capturing the beauty of the places and people around him.
I’m still hooked!
