Following on from my thread about UG cassette, which I had never encountered before, and had no idea about. Can I just check how to remove them..is the small cog removed with a regular chain whip, and then after that you need one of these?
Thanks in advance

Well Jem I honestly can't remember exactly.I suspect UG just needs the remover (about to be shot down here). As it's a cassette, you will need a chain whip of some sort. They are easily made from an old chain. Don't spend money when you don't need to! If you need to remove the small cog first, you probably need 2 chain whips. Sorry to be unable to give more definitive advice. It's the "S" word that I try to avoid! Cheers, Pete.

The smallest cog has a normal right-handed thread and needs to be unscrewed anti-clockwise. You have to hold the block still with one chain whip and turn the little cog with the other. This is likely to require a lot of force if the cassette has been fitted for some time. Hope this makes sense.

Wasn't sure myself either so I googled and this came up. So just 2 chain whips.
