Well, our other shop recently called to 'pick my brain' when they stumbled over a bike's BB and correctly identified (thanks to my err ... educating them) a Viscount. Unfortunately slaughtered with almost nothing original anymore and the frame was in dire condition. Nevertheless, the BB (worst case of being 'shot' I've ever seen) needed to be changed, so I came running to the rescue with my BB puller/pressing tool and did the job which was described as 'excellent'.
Once again, I'm thankful for Steve and his development of said tool. And proud to be a Viscount expert of some sort. :-) Felt good.

a A good shop that's prepared to take a bit of trouble on an old bike rather than saying it's beyond repair - you have to buy a new one! Kudos to Stella

As it happens they had two Viscounts from two different owners in the shop. They just know that I'm the go-to person when it comes to 'our' bikes. They often take the piss out of me, but appreciate my knowledge when push comes to shove. :-)

Hi Stella, congratulations! on having your expertise recognized and (at least occasionally) appreciated. Are there pics and a description of this BB press / pull tool anywhere? I'd love to see that.
Best, Frank

You are welcome. It's Busaste's design, he then went to a company who 'improved' it and the result is this. Very, very pleased to have this tool.

Hello Stella, I'm new here. I've been informed that you're an expert on Viscount bottom brackets. Do you know where I could obtain a spindle, and what tools I'll need? I have a feeling this Viscount stuff is going to get addictive......
