I've never seen one of these before. Looks quite a cool bike. I can't justify the space it would take up, but the price looks reasonable at present. In Leicester, UK. Does anyone know anything about these? I doubted that it was a Viscount at first, but there's certainly what looks like a genuine sticker at the top of the seat tube. Of course, the liberal use of gold might be a give-away.

Whoah. What a find! Never heard of them down my way. I was into BMXs when this would have been new (early 80s). That's 2/3 of a really nice crankset. Unfortunately the pics are all from above so I can't read the name on it. It all looks pretty original though and a reasonably well-specced bike for its time. In the early days of BMX, it's amazing some of the names that were involved. Even Campag and Cinelli made BMX parts.
Interesting to see if it stays at that price. In Aus, any old shite that's BMX gets amazing prices on fleabay. An 'old school' bike like this, in this condition, would prob get A$300-400.

8DWhaaaat!!!
That is like finding an unreleased Beatles album recorded in secret before Revolver but after Rubber Soul.....or the 'missing link' jaw bone of the first Homo Sapien.
Can it be real?

It's early for a 3 piece chainset and square taper bottom bracket.Infinetly better than the one piece. It's most likely to be a Sakae chainset. Could never understand the allure of BMX,wouldn't want to ride one to work, tour,or go to the shops on one.A one trick pony really! Have you added it to the model stockpile Jem? Cheers, Pete.

Dunno if it's real, but if it isn't there are quite a few unreal examples about. A quick search, which I should have done before, turned up several mentions and this nicely renovated bike. I suspect a re-paint since it has no decals or stickers.

Have you added it to the model stockpile Jem? I think I will wait until Bustaste ID's that one.

Not I.Abominations are BMX! Cheers, Pete. So, you don't want to pedal 2 rotations before you run out of traction whilst standing up with a chronically stooped back while weaving from side to side ...? Why on earth not? They are slightly more practical than a scooter, but not much. The buyer must be pretty confident of finding a matching crank arm and pedal?

Slightly in love with that. There's a BMX track five minutes ride away from my house, and my daughter is always telling me I look daft tring to ride it on my MTB...

Seems there was a group of Viscount Motocross bikes marketed in the US, MXV-1, MXV-2, and MXV-3. One version even sports a banana seat! I've got the brochure pictures up in the adverts section that I put up on March 13th. Also of note, there was a 24" wheel V-1000 "junior racer". I remember someone having found one of those maybe a year ago? I'm guessing these were late 70's, early eighties after the popular aerospace models were discontinued.
