Everything done right. Nice.
May you always find your pedals' dustcaps still there at the end of your ride.

May your always find your pedals' dustcaps still there at the end of your ride. I put so much SuperGlue on them I'm amazed the bearings still work.... and just in case, I have a spare

Great work! Nice touch with the old school water bottle cage and Zefal HP pump, a must have in the day. Hope you see snow free pavement by April!

Delicious! I have the same bottle cage on my GP! What a coincidence. Mine needs some tlc, though, as it's rather rusty. Love the quick release mechanism on it.

I found the bottle & cage on ebay a week or so back.... both were in very nice condition and a bargain. I was planning on "flipping" the set as I had a TA copy REG that I was planning to mount on the Viscount, but this set just looked right... and as I later noticed, close to the set on my Old Lambert. I'm not so fond of the QR spring as I've pinched my fingers a couple of times.

Cabin fever is setting in.... wind chills in the -20 to -30 F range. Just taking the dog out is an Arctic adventure. At this point, I'd settle for temps above freezing in April.

We've got more snow coming tonight but nothing like New England. The wind trainer has been seeing regular work. I remember seeing that water bottle cage on e bay and almost pulling the trigger but have opted for a handlebar mounted retro style VO cage for my GP Porteur. Glad you got it!.

That Sir , is a thing of beauty . Foss Yes, that's more or less perfect. They're always good looking bikes, but yours looks incredibly well cared for, if that makes sense.

But I have to confess that mine has been re-sprayed by those kind fellows at Mercian , and she lives here next to me hanging on the wall in my study next to my 1935 Raleigh ( called Walter !! ).
Kindest Regards

I did start with a bike in pretty good condition and I added a few parts to complete it like the pedal caps, decals, rims, Paselas, and handlebar stem BTW, check your stems..... mine had 2 hairline cracks that were only a millimeter or so from meeting and leading to failure. Could have been nasty. All parts were hand cleaned and polished before reassembling Before

Took my 3 winter project bikes .... including my Viscount...out for short rides today, just to make sure everything was tight and in tune. I have to be honest and say the Viscount was disappointing... at least in comparison to my Look and Trek. I noticed the 170mm crank arms and 52-42 rings. I ride 175mm and 47/48 - 39 on my other rides. And frame didn't feel as lively as I had hoped.
I haven't given up on it.... I'm going to give it another shot later and then maybe I'll fit long cranks and smaller rings to see if I like it better. I can always be on the look-out for 175mm TA cranks and maybe a 38-39 t inner ring.
On a positive note, I didn't lose my pedal caps and the fork didn't disintegrate
