Well I finally have it. Not as good a condition as the ebay photo led to believe, quite a few chips and scratches all over. Not going to respray this one though just do touch ups were necessary. I'll still give it a full strip down and clean though. I swapped the tubular wheels of the sport and put a 12-21 freewheel on it, going to match it with the short cage crane rear derailleur. Well I say swapped, what I actually mean is put the tub wheels on this and tried to put the 27x1 1/4's on the sport but whatever numpty built the rear wheel didn't build it with the rim in the centre of the hub. they built in the centre of the flanges. Hence the wheel sits about 15mm to far to the left. Anyhoo, here's a link to the rest of the album of badly taken photo's. Need a better day and some natural light. Lambert Grand Prix

Doesn't look too bad really, considering you bought the wheels and he/she threw the rest of the bike in with them!

Obligatory caution re 1st gen death fork. Perhaps the numpty built the wheel so as to fit a 7 (or is it 8?) speed cassette into a 126mm OLD. Still a numpty play for sure, but perhaps method in his/her madness? Great find though. Perhaps if you squint or stay permanently pissed you won't see the chip and scratches. I sure can't. b

That looks awesome. I love the plum colour on the headtube and seat tube. How's it looking now stoatie? Any newer pictures?

It's still the same at the moment, haven't had the time to do anything to it. It's all been diverted on my getting my 1976 Range Rover back on the road. But that's done now so hopefully be able to turn my attention back to bikes again.
The deathfork is a MK3 I think, pretty sure it's threaded at the bottom.
And yeah my camera skills suck, although I did find a setting on my phone for anti shake so this might improve things slightly.

Oh, Rang Rover! Viscounts, reptiles. Stoatie, you're THE man! :-) Just kidding.
Mayb next time have a drink or two to calm the nerves! Mind, if I had THAT bike, I'd be weak in the knees, too. Hope you bring it to the rally.

Btw: I find those alloy forks ride beautifully. I'm still looking for an original death fork Mark I and, trust me, I'll be riding it around--just for the sake of it.
