Greetings all. I live in snowed-in Pennsylvania, US. I was digging about on the forum and finally some help for my Viscount. That nice fellow who is restoring a 600ex helped me enormously with the pictures he posted. I have one of those !!!!!!!! By the time I had gotten it, mine didn't have any nice orange Viscount labels. It still had the head badge label, but that was it. it has 600ex on the non-drive side rear drop out. It also has the flying v stamped into the fork crowns - red and blue when I got it. No stamps in the top of the chain stays, but the windowpane lugs all around. Unfortunately, mine is not in it's original color - the bottom bracket froze inside and I had to heat the bottom bracket area to get it out - ruined the lovely pinky/grey metallic (linden?) paint job. The headset also developed a crack, so it was replaced. It has the shimano arabesque shifters, front der, and rear der, and seat post. the original seat was long gone by the time I got it. I changed the handlebars and brakes. This bike sees constant service as my trainer ride at this point, but I'm thinking of getting her repainted, now that I can see the color to match it. Thanks all for the help - I've been frustrated for a lot of years because this bike seems to be rare/hard-to-find here in the US. I see some of the black and silver ones, and the white ones with red head badges sometimes, but not 600ex or 600ax. Thanks once again for the help.
