It could truly be called a 'pub' bike because after you sell the Brooks saddle and replace with something out of your bits box , the bike will have cost you about the price of a pint of beer...

Sorry chaps,I watched this from day one.I thought all you computer savy guys were on to it! Chertsey,I know it's outside the M25,but nearer to our London members than everyone else. Someone got a bargain.Hope it's one of us,and will stay together and not be sold as parts! Cheers, Pete.

I thought it looked very tempting. Too small for me though.

Someone got a bargain.Hope it's one of us,and will stay together and not be sold as parts! Cheers, Pete. I just knew Chertsey was somewhere a bit 'down south' and dismissed it as too problematic. I have also been resisting putting live auctions on here because I would feel bad if someone has spotted it and then I point it out and others bid it up etc. However, I don't think that has happened yet but I realise that if you spot something good, then I announce to the world via the internet that there is a great bike at a bargain price , it might be a bit annoying.... But talking of live auctions, there is a men's blue Metro for sale at the moment. It's ok but surely the only Metro colour is London bus red?

And talking of live auctions, there is a great bike with some great components on Ebay at the moment (NOT a Viscount or Lambert). It's the kind of thing some folk here might like though.
I have asked a question of the buyer. I will share the link once I get an answer...
EDIT- it's a steel framed 80's bike, Japanese origin, not often seen, good components, I think Sheldon Brown rated them...anybody guess what it is?

Is it a Koga Miyata by any chance? If you've ever had the joy of driving a Metro, especially an early one in blue, you would say NO! Oh,it's a Viscount Metro, oops, probably again,no. Best of luck to those who need a pub bike. Cheers, Pete.

If it's not a Koga,it's a Bridgestone. Cheers, Pete.
