white Viscount with silver fenders and blue trim. It'll sport Panaracers and V.O. city brakers, and be ready for a ride upon my whim............................................................................................................................................... ....................and may all your Viscounts be bright! Please feel free to insert another stanza. I'm outta ideas! Just finished a cold, but dry and sunny 2+ hour shakeout ride after much cabin fever and anticipitation. The Bicycle Planet Cascadia thermoplastic fenders were very easy to place and adjust. Not as cool as the VO or Honjo aluminum but less hassle works for me. Removed the "death pedals" and put on MKS Sylvan road pedals. The white Nubaum's handlebar tape doesn't have a chance of looking good very soon so maybe shellac or grips or a different color tape will do. Also looking to add racks from Soma fabrications. They're out of stock on a nice front mini rack so I'll be waiting on that plus a nice art deco looking rear rack from them as well. This poor cousin of the Mojave GP has been languishing as a small misfit that was unrideable but has turned into an Anglo-French swan with its new stem and porteur bars. It makes a nice bike path/city bike for those non-competitive rides

Congratulations sir, and welcome to the High Performance Gentleman's Town Bike Club. Liking your style! You got a good line on those mudguards. Well-aligned mudguards that the follow the arc of the wheel visually 'disappear' in a nifty way. IOW they become an integral part of the bike. Pics of the racks please when they're installed. b

No snow down there? Lucky guy.

Bendo: Didn't realize how pricey racks got. Last one I bought was a Pletscher rat trap in the 70's. The pair at Soma fab. were about $39 and $29. Not a bad deal.

Very nice! +1 what Bendo said about the mudguards, you got a perfect curve on them and they do indeed disappear in a very nifty way. I would pay someone to fit mudguards like that, as I hate the job and never seem to have a good experience, and certainly don't enjoy it with all the fiddling about - although I have never started off with a brand new pair. I had never been on the Soma site till a few mins ago, but it could certainly create some strong materialist desires even in a hard line Buddhist Monk Beware all ye who enter here store.somafab.com/index.htmlThe deco rear one caught my eye too; very stylish, great choice. I also liked the leather strap for carrying a bike. Must be possible to make that with a few of the right hole punching tools etc. In fact every time I see a bag support/uplift frame (and the fairly hefty price tag on them), I think that with the correct tools, it would be pretty easy to bend some alloy rod...has anyone ever had a go?

My rear Soma deco rack just came in today with multiple scratches and missing hardware through an Amazon 3rd party seller....beware! Was ready to go to work installing but now it's wait for a return label and seek another seller or consider Planet Bike's white rear rack. That may look sharper than the standard chrome racks and I liked the easy install and design of their Cascadia fenders. Decisions, decisions...Can't seem to find a nice mini white front rack to match. Ugh ecom1.planetbike.com/4000.html

TANice style racks for sure. I guess I still have trouble justifying a high price esthetic addition over a high price functional addition. Maybe one day a rack will be a functional addition but not yet. Will check back in on that issue in a few years.
