Well, he found me, somehow. I'm talking about an ex-employee of the Potters Bar factory. A regular customer of the shop knows about my Viscount obsession and put us in touch. The wonderful man e-mailed to say he's got plenty of notes and photos, and contact with other ex-employees and seems to be happy to share. I'll get him and Steve together for the book, and have invited him to join the forum. Fingers crossed. :-)

Very exciting news you little Viscount stalker! How's this for equally nerdy. I sent an inquiry to the CPSC (consumer product safety commission) requesting all the details, data, etc regarding the beloved fork recall. They have forwarded the request to the good folks who run the "Freedom of Information" dept. somewhere in govt. Waiting to see what the real #'s and story are. Such intrepid reports we all are! Now if I can only find the "secret stash".

I think we all want to find the secret stash. In fact I want to resurrect the firm and employ all of you, find some talented frame builders who can fillet braze and get the ball rolling again. Imagine THAT!

Well that would be interesting.
I don't know if you noticed a couple of months back a former employee did indeed join this forum.
