It's so exciting! I feel just like a twitcher spotting a rare bird. I've just had my first sighting of a Viscount in the wild. An Aerospace 400 just like the one in this forum post, except that it was red (actually a red with a tinge of orange - sort of brick-red). It was in top-notch condition - a credit to it's rider (also in excellent condition, despite being rather older than myself). On hearing my exclamation, the rider was happy to stop and chat about his enthusiasm for cycling in general and vintage bikes in particular. So sir, if you are the chap from the Cleveland Wheelers cycle club who was waylaid by a complete stranger this morning in Knaresborough marketplace, and you're a member of this forum, it was a pleasure to meet you.

I know exactly what you mean. I accosted a guy in my town centre a while back - he had a Viscount Victor (see post here).I would never hesitate to stop and chat to someone on a Lambert or Viscount... I don't think I've seen a 400 in red. So, you get 4 iSpy points for that. 8 if you had photographed it!
