Working on my pedals.... noticed that there was a a good bit of in/out slop and that the allen bolt under the cap was as snug as it could be. Loosened the bolt on the right pedal with some effort and was able to reduce the slop with a couple of washers under the bolt head.
Having a more difficult time with the left pedal. Is the left allen bolt a left hand thread (righty loosie, lefty tighty) like the pedal to crank arm threads or a right hand thread? Don't want to force it as I'm guessing a new allen bolt will be next to impossible to find.
Edit: It turns out both right and left pedal allen bolts are a standard right hand thread.
Is there a solution for in/out slop? A washer helps a bit, but doesn't eliminate it. Or is it something we learn to live with?
Cheers

Did you get this worked out? My pair have enormous play, and although I've seen the sheet somewhere in these threads that tells of using shims to eliminate the play, I'm thinking that a thin (0.01") wave washer would serve better. I'd put it on the inside, if possible, rather than the outside, but right now I'm just speculating. if I have to use shims or washers, I'll try hard to get the teflon impregnated bronze versions. "Rulon" I think is the trade name.
