I just made a plea over on the CTC forum, but will re-post here...
If anyone has an old Viscount at the back of the shed that is either in pieces or is on the way to the skip due to broken frame or what not, please post up here before 'disposing' of it.
It could be that you have something that could be lovingly put back together and ridden , or the parts off yours could be exactly what another person needs to restore something of theirs to it's former glory.
You can join the forum and post up on here and someone may be interested.

I can only really see the ladies bikes there. And maybe the decent ones have already been picked over? Knowing your nose for a bargain though Scott, I wouldn't rule out that you could walk away with something decent from there though. If you go and look at them and there's anything there that you don't want, just put the word out. It's not a million miles from here.

I live in Cheltenham PA [near Philly] Hi Ed, As luck would have it, I'll be right near you in a couple of weeks for college open houses for my daughter (Arcadia and Philly U) so please PM me so I can set a pickup up. I'd love to have another Pro and it will be going to a good Viscount home. If you can't PM me as a "guest", just email at itsthepitz@aol.com Just saw your on Active.com (if it's the right Ed O'toole) and are a fellow triathlete. Just did Princeton 70.3 yesterday with my Viscount jersey proudly displayed.

Triitout. Both of those schools are nearby so yes you can come by when you are down here.Yes I use Active.com and was probably me. Congrats on the 70.3, I have done only the Sprints so far. I would like this bike to get used ,it was a great bike. I used it to do the Bikecentennial route[east to west] with only a few flats with all my gear. I will send my cell # and address.

Wow, Bikecentenial and into the wind East to West no less. That was hard core in the day. It will be an honor to bring that bike back to life. It's kind of ironic but my college yearbook had a caricature of you doing something special of your choice and mine was an image of me biking cross country (east to west with a nice tailwind). Never did such a trip but at least I can restore a bike that did. Looking forward to coming by the 3rd weekend in Oct. For what it's worth, stick to Sprints. All the glory with less of the pain, although this time I was able to go for a next day easy "recovery ride" on my blue Gran Touring Viscount. It's that time of year you just want to ride with no speed or time aspirations to stress you and that's just what I need.

Hey Ed, Don't forget to get in touch. I know it's a few weeks out but I'd like to get some details on the Pro to wet my appetite.
