Yes! to the Velo Orange Grand- Cru for a thread less BB if in fact you have a thread less bb shell on the sport. I'm not familiar with the original bb on that model. I have one on my Kiwi single speed conversion and it's super smooth. There's an old post somewhere in the photo section of the original rebuild.

Jump in on Sooper8's thread on "Anyone done a single speed conversion on a Viscount?"
I used a 107 mm with a fixie wheel set with a flip flop hub and it gave me an excellent chain line. That was also with a single "fixie" crankset.
I was able to bang (on the non drive side the axle) out the axle with one bearing (drive side) attached and then bang out the non drive side bearing going from inside the bb shell. Stella and Busaste have the magic BB tool if you're near them and would insure you don't ruin the axle which has become near impossible to find.
Ate lots of chicken wings in Buffalo, NY back in the day that the rest of the country was throwing them out!

Would possibly be the most expensive repair ever. lol Surely if he paid for your flight, you'd do the repair for free? (or at least a good discount?)

Yes, of course, still a fairly expensive repair. :-)
