When my son flipped his dropped handlebars upside down, I frowned a bit. When he wanted bull-horns (pursuit bars?) I thought it was a step too far. But, I eat my words, they ride very well!! I prefer a classic racer silhouette myself but then again, it's not my bike. EDIT- Have taken the brake cables over the top of the bars now - the angle was too sharp on the front one for my liking. image by Sooper 8, on Flickr image by Sooper 8, on Flickr

Reminiscent of the Tulsa G.L. I built up as a single-speed bike a few years ago. I quite like bull horns, but the stretch from the saddle to the brakes on your son's bike looks long.

He's quite a long limbed lad , but I agree it's a stretch.
