I'm out on a ride & thought I'd post up using my iPhone while I've stopped for a shandy. Not tried this before so it could go wrong Sport by -Sooper 8-

In praise of the rat trap pedals! I must say they aren't the best looking things but I quite like them. The bonus is I don't have to think about whether my shoes will fit in the toe clips & straps. In fact the trainers I have on tonight just stick like glue to the rat traps. I'm seriously thinking about taking the toe clips off all my bikes! Sport by -Sooper 8-

And a last photo before I move on. I'm on a bit of a high at the moment as this is my first proper ride since tearing my calf muscle a month ago. Feels fine & the physio said to go for it, so all is good! Sport by -Sooper 8-

Congrats Jem!Up and about, getting better all the time!Sounds like a song.Don't try rat traps and fixed wheel. You can get some severe foot gouges if you forget and try to pull a pedal up to start off!! Problem with shandy,it costs the same as a proper pint, lemonade is a dieretic, makes you want to find a convenient hedge. Pun intended. Glad you're out and about.Great day today, unfortunately nowhere near my bike of choice. Cheers, Pete.

Good to see you're getting out and about again Jem.
I've never tried rat-traps 'cos the Sport doesn't have them, and although the International has suitable pedals, it's not been equipped with rat-traps whilst in my ownership. I do find it mildly irritating to have to try and get the International's pedals the right way up when stop-start riding, particularly in traffic, but have no such problem on the Sport, and when riding with a good chunky sole pattern, don't suffer any slippage on the pedals of the latter.
