Hi all,
Does anyone have/know of a reasonable pair of alloy 27" x 1 1/4 wheels I could purchase?
I've been hoovering up bits on ebay lately (pics soon) and am keen to get my Sport on the road.
Any help appreciated!

Any help appreciated! I have a Pelissier rear wheel for screw-on five speed blocks - high / large flange hub and IIRC a Milremo rim. I think I also have a Shimano HF front wheel (Milremo too?). They came off a Sport I have which I have now fitted with Viscount wheels. Both wheels I'm offering are fine: the bearings feel smooth (but would probably benefit from re-greasing) and the rims are circular (plain spokes, not chromed as I recall). I can't say how much life the rims have left, but 'enough' I would guess. If it is important to you, note that the Milremo rims are not hooked and hence tyres should not be pumped up to maximum pressure on them. If I have remembered the content of my shed correctly, you would be welcome to these for postage and a modest beer money contribution. I'm sure Mrs C would be impressed at the idea of bike bits leaving Cusqueno Towers for a change. PM me for further details and pictures if you are interested. |
