That could be turned into a good alround touring,do everything bike.Nice narrow tyres, drop bars, and slightly raised gears. I've been thinking of doing something similar to my Kirk. Cheers, Pete.

Funny you should mention the Kirk - I thought about it as I picked this up. It's very light. Seat post is stuck though. I will indeed make a good all rounder.

Although I only grabbed it for this part initially. These are £15 new. It will be great to have another bike with one of these on. Attachments:

Triitout,it's petethebike. That should get you there.I've just used parts that I had in my bits box, it seems,as you said,a very comfortable ride.Looking forward to a longer test ride. Cheers, Pete.

Thanks Jem,as ever,on the case for us Luddites. There's some guff on there which may be of interest to our "far flung" members. Any body else noticed how the Eurofighter looks like a nice friendly spanniel from the front? Cheers, Pete.

The Vitus looks real clean. You'll enjoy it. Can't help but notice that you guys like to ride big frames with no seat post showing. You've got very little room to adjust for "shrinkage" . Last time I got fit for a bike in "09 I'd lost an inch over the last 30 years. I'm afraid to see what's the new height so I just keep lowering the seat post as needed. Love the little yellow sports car shots. Always wanted a Triumph TR6 until I heard they've got more idiosyncrasies than a Viscount.

Does look like a nice one,I suspect it to go for quite a bit more though.Watching out of interest. The yellow sportscar is a 1958 Berkeley, even more idiosyncratic than than a TR6 or Viscount! They sold quite well in the U.S. and still have a strong following there.Must have seemed minute when parked next to typical Detroit product of the time. Cheers, Pete.
