Yes Ray, I agree - quite a spectacle and well worth going to watch.
Didn't manage to take a Viscount though. Mrs S wanted to watch and is badly on her pins with Plantar Fasciitis, so we went on train, route was at the bottom of the station ramp with pavements no more than 3 feet (a metre) wide on both sides of a narrow road, so had an amazingly close encounter with the world's biggest free sporting event!

I took my Pro out for a quick couple of miles along the stage 1 route - summer gear, pouring rain, 4am!!
Great fun though I thought I was going to die as I shivered away in my sleeping bag back at camp!
A wonderful first two days of the tour - almost as good as DFR2!!
