Not sure how long some of the bike stuff has been marked down in Aldi, but I was just in there and picked up a few 'bargains' ( but I am aware that a bargain isn't a bargain at any price if it's not fit for purpose) So, I'll give them a whirl and see how they go and feedback. First off I bought a poncho (made by Crane) for £2.49. Pretty heavy weight and could possibly be a ground sheet if emergency picnics were desperately needed. It says it's a 'fishing poncho' and therefore may not have thumb eyelets to hold it down but I can soon sort that with a bit of elastic and a needle and thread if needs be. Then I got a long sleeve Crane Merino wool jumper (cycle specific if the picture on packing anything to go by?) £4.99 Then a short sleeve Merino top which strangely was more expensive than the long sleeve, coming in at £7.99 I love wool. It doesn't need washing after every ride, it's warm even when wet, it's cool in the hot whether. I like it next to my skin. I couldn't really resist at these prices. Then a pair of 'wool feel' gloves with iphone touch screen finger pads on them, so I won't need to take gloves off to read text or maps 75p A nice fetching faun/magnolia colour with contrasting black first finger and thumb. They did have a lot of other stuff, that I either didn't need or wasn't my size or was still too pricey for my liking.
