Hi all,
Unfortunately my Pro had a fall the other day (not my fault - not at all happy) and now I have a click/clunk as pedals come to top of ratation. I can only really feel it when standing and at slow-ish speeds. There does seem to be more play in the BB than before.
I've just been to LBS who say a new BB is required, £30 for them to do the lot. They tell me it's not the original BB anyway and is a sealed unit fitted approx 5 years ago so should come out easily.
So now I don't know what to do - keep it new as it's already been done or go back to something original - bearing in mind I've been planning to fit a 'porthole' chainring Lambert/TA crankset at some point. Or just get it fixed then change it later anyway as it'll take me some time to get the other bits together.
Pretty sure it'll be fine to keep riding til DFR for you knowledgable folks to have a closer look at but any advice sooner would be a help!?!

Hey, Lewis:
So sorry to hear about the fall. :-(
If it's a sealed unit then the questions are:
1. Is it a threadless BB which was fitted because nobody could find a solution for replacing the original (press-fit) one. In that case you can try finding 6003 2RS bearings (your lbs should have them) and see if they'd sit tight and find a spindle (Klein's your best option according to Steve). 2. If the current BB is threaded, you won't have any other option than going with a new threaded unit (or a threadless one, but threaded would be a better choice) as once the shell's tapped, there's no way back. Keep in mind that the porthole chain ring goes on an ISO spindle. If you tell that your lbs, you'll be able to fit the porthole chain ring. :-)
Hope this helps.
