Didn't get a chance for any text for the pics, so I thought I'd have a go at it now. This was the bike I lusted over in the 70's as a graduate student needing a bike to have some semblance of athletic activity. Alas with a beer pocket, I happily settled for the Gran Touring with its steel wheels and hard as a rock plastic seat. It served me well for 15 years before I retired it to the garage. After discovering CTC forum and Busaste, the Aerospace Pro dream was reborn. As satisfying as it was to get the GT running again in 2009, I was still hankering for a Pro. Last November, after many disappointing visits to the local Craig's list, I decided to drive over the bridge to New Jersey from Long Island and pull the trigger on a perfect size 23"er. Big disappointment when I got it in front of me. Sucky, unusable wheel set, BB in trouble, stripped quill stem binder bolt left me wondering if I was about to purchase a headache, but when I looked at the frame, paint and crankset, emotions ruled over and I took it home. It took some help from Busaste with the BB and my LBS with the stripped stem and eventually a NOS Tange fork, new wheel set, new Aerospace Pro stickers, and general good cleanup to get it running even nicer than I imagined it would. I've finally re-adapted to down tube shifters after being away from them for over 15 years. I've put over 500 miles on it since the rebuild and hope to do many more. It's a nice problem figuring out which bike to ride
