If you were looking for a porthole chainring and that seat stem individually ,then it would cost more than you just paid for the whole thing. Result !

Blimey that looks great Stella. It's a genuine, honest-to-goodness Lambert isn't it?
Any plans, or is it too soon for that?

By the looks of it, yes, it's a genuine Lambert. Still can't believe it. Plans? Yeah, collecting it, cleaning it up, drool over it, and then take it to bed tonight. lol
I'll keep it as it is (depending on how the paint work is) and will just build some wheels for it. I can source a front Lambert hub, but am hunting a rear.

What about these de-anodized and polished up?

Nah, I think they should go on a Supa bike. I'd like to try to find a 'normal' silver rear one. Could even be a Viscount hub as the bolts are V-branded.

I came home from a party and bowed in front of it. Do you think it's normal to lovingly stroke a frame?

Congratulations on your newest ride. After looking at the pictures, it's kind of hard to tell if it's a Viscount Aerospace GP with the top tube sticker, V bolts on the brakes and seat post nut, and the red and white color scheme (one of the GP color schemes) or is it a Lambert with the crankset and head tube/downtube stickers.? The seat post looks like a slightly more modern SR Laprade style. The rear derailluer Titlist was stock on the GP. Looks like a mix and match possibly. Wonder what it started as? Either way, it's an Aerospace and will be a nice ride. Good luck with it And no, it's not normal but who says that is in any way important

Hey, It's definitely a Lambert as it has the Lambert head badge and seat post sticker. Plus it says Lambert the down tube sticker (the silver one), but the port hole chain ring is unbranded, although we know it's Lambert. From what I understand the GPs were all Lambert as they were the high spec bikes. My guess is that it's one of the later Lamberts where they'd run out of stock for parts and just threw Viscount parts on (brakes & bolts). I'm still pleased as punch as I always wanted to have a red/white Lambert. Will be taking the bike apart today, including the BB, and hope that the spindle's all right. The bearings are definitely shot. Sadly you never know unless you take it out. You might be right re the seat post, but I really like this one. Here's something I just stumbled over: dallashistory.freeforums.org/my-own-time-machine-lambert-viscount-bicycle-t3691.htmlOh, and the pedals aren't original. The MKS look all right, but I'll change them for Olimpics.

I've not seen that page before. A very detailed Lambert bio but nothing on Viscount on there? Or am I not searching it correctly?
