That is nice, I've been thinking I could do with a larger frame. Although I'm also broke, might have to start checking down the backs of sofas

I see it has a Shimano Thunder Bird FD which my Pro came with when I bought it a year or so back. So maybe they were second or third choice after Titlist if they were out of stock?
can anyone make out what breaks are on it?
Is anyone here seriously looking at it ?

Given everything else seems original, I'd bet on Viscount or 'V' brakes.

Ok, here's my sales pitch for this - bearing in mind I have no connection with the seller and all the usual caution is needed on ebay etc etc The saddle is worth £35 if you chose to re-sell because you have your own already. The postage could be £25 and it's offered free. So, it's effectively a £140 bike, and I have seen much worse sell for much more. I don't think I've seen such an original GP outside of the Mojave -Long Island 'corridor'. Or, you could go and buy a pair of these in the sale! Bargain!!
I know which I'd have.

Your not making this any easier, although I mentioned that I was after a new bike to the powers that be and got a flat NO, But this one's the right size for me I contested Well you should have got the right size in the 1st place. Sell the other one 1st then you can buy it.

How could you sell your existing bike until you have bought its replacement and brought it up to safe riding standard? If that doesn't work, gently explain that she can't have more than one pair of shoes,or dress etc! Best of luck. Cheers, Pete.

For my second Viscount I argued that I needed a hot back-up (I commute by bike), which was true enough. I can't remember what other arguments I've used (apart from the rather sad 'I need to replace the one that broke'). You could try 'it's an absolute bargain' or 'I'll be able to sell some bits and make a profit/break even/offset some of the cost' (delete what's not applicable).
