Looking for a Lambert bike with Lambert parts... you know... crank, mechs, pedals, hubs, etc. for a bicycle museum here in the U.S. to complete a museum exhibit of brands that took the extra steps of making most everything to build the bike.
If necessary I will buy individual components so don't forget to look in your spares bin. Please message me if you have ANY Lambert-labeled (not Viscount) items. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum! So, you are not after a complete Lambert bike? just the components? What about wheels? And just the parts made by Lambert ? By the way , just to set realistic expectations - it is likely most shipping to you from any UK/European members is going to be very expensive. So this post might just be for US folk ? This sounds like a great task to have though and I wish you luck and hope you can get all you need. By the way,I know it is of no help now, but just let these Lambert brakes go a couple of weeks ago - for info it cost over $30 to get them to US. viscountandlambert.boards.net/thread/2302/bits-pieces

Of note as well is the fact that there are two distinct versions of Lambert: the earlier lugged frame and the later Viscount style frame that had Lambert frame and component decals and labels. In fact, many of the famous porthole chainrings were stamped Lambert but did not appear on the early lugged frames (please correct me if I’m wrong). Best, John “wheelson” USA Located

Hey Fixer, I might be able to help you. In 1973 or 4 my Dad bought a Lambert (lugged frame). After having no luck selling the whole bike I stripped the frame. Frame went to the recycle yard near here. (My Dad had at some point "rattle canned" a poor paint job on the frame. The infamous aluminum forks had been replaced by generic steel ones.)
I just pulled the box of parts and am going through them. I am located in North Eastern North Carolina (Outer Banks). Where are you located?

I have a 60cm blue Lambert Aerospace Pro frame to go with the parts you mentioned. It has a threaded BB. It needs to be refinished. I also have a bunch of Lambert parts including Lambert branded handlebars that were on the frame. Bikefixer, please let me know where you are located so we can figure out the best way to get you these items.

Hi! I am happy to get any Lambert parts, especially the drivetrain, especially if I can get everything at once. No interest in Shimano parts, I have boxes and boxes of those. My shop is in New Freedom, PA and I live about 10km away, in Maryland. Refinishing is no problem since we do restorations. Let me know what you have. Thanks very much

Best, John “wheelson” USA Located Thanks for that info. I am relatively well versed back to the Harris/Viking era though am willing to admit holes in the knowledge. Personally, I've never seen the chainrings stamped with Lambert. Many years ago when the company was liquidated Bicycling! magazine had an advertisement placed by a salvage company where pedals and hubs and brakes and other stuff was available very cheaply. I recall stripping the silver paint off everything and spending hours polishing the aluminum.
So, did the lugless Lambert have all the Lambert parts including drivetrain or did they already go to Simplex/Shimano?
I have 2 Viscount Aerospace Pro's equipped with Shimano Crane, one with the death fork.

If a Lambert with all Lambert parts were available I would be happy to consider. Being a fan of British Steel (main bikes are a Bob Jacksom Arrowhead and a 1964 Raleigh Sports) I have experienced the expense of bringing stuff over.
By the way, I have a never-ridden 1988 Schwinn Paramount and a Peloton of the same vintage that I might consider trading fodder.

Ok, so if i have any bits that you can't source more locally , then I will have a look - but I don't think I have much in the way of Lambert parts

Some how (the Mod?) has edited it to look like I'm the one who wants the parts. When you edited you deleted my last post to the OP. So here goes again:
To the OP, I have many Lambert parts. I am in N.E. NC (the Outer Banks). I understand you are in Maryland and PA. I am going to go through all the parts and list them here when I get a chance.

Apologies Andy. My good intentions made it worse. Glad you spotted and sorted it.

Hi Bikefixer. I received your PM with address, etc. No charge for the frame and parts. I will determine shipping costs as soon as I can. I wanted to post photos here on the public forum for general ogling. You are looking at the following Lambert branded items: 1. 60cm Lambert Aerospace Pro frame with threaded BB. 2. Stem with L nut. 3. Handlebars with gold aluminum personalization badge. 4. Viscount Type 3 death fork of the right length, not original but close. Not sure you want this, let me know. 5. TA Specialties Cyclotourist 170mm crank arms and Lambert 52/42 chain rings. I don't have the hardware for these. I think they were corroded beyond restoration. You can obtain new Lambert decals for the crank arms online. I have seen them and perhaps someone here knows where they are. 6. Lambert pedals with L caps. They turn quite smoothly and I might have rebuilt them. My tag did not say so, however, so I am not sure. 7. Lambert down tube shifters with L nuts. 8. Seat post binder/cable guide with L nut 9. Front and rear Lambert hubs with Lambert QR skewers, levers, and L caps, new bearings pressed. 10. Front and rear Lambert brake calipers with L studs. Here is a link to the Google Photos album:

Those are some very nice Lambert goodies Brian is offering. Those chainrings are appropriate for the early Lambert. I have a “holey” Viscount style large ring stamped Lambert, must have been a transition item. There are appropriate decals for this model available on eBay www.ebay.com/item/256074845441 less the three Harris/Steel/Thom tribute stickers. (If anyone has a source for these three stickers, please let me know). Best, John “wheelson” Western PA USA

For some reason I can’t get that link to work, but if you search for Lambert decals on ebay they come up with a choice of several models, even the famous gold plated ones. Best, John “wheelson”

Bikefixer, It took me awhile but here is my list: 1) Large flange hub, front. unlaced, 36 hole. Lambert mark on center of hub. Skewer missing. Axle and bearings look good. 2) Left/right pedals, gold in color. Both with toe clips, no straps. One toe clip with Lambert mark. Other with Christophe mark. Missing outside axle caps. 3) Front center pull brake. "L" decal on pivot bolts. No shoes. 4) Rear center pull brake. "L" decal on pivot bolts. No shoes. 5) Left crank arm, no Lambert decal. 6) Right crank arm with 2 chain rings. Yes decal, but in poor condition. Large chain ring 51 teeth. Small chain ring 42 teeth. 7) Crank axle with arm bolts and washers. Bolts have "L" decals, one good condition, the other fair. 8) Crank bearing races and bearings, threaded. 9) Fork steering races and bearings. 10) In this same collection is a Huret rear derailleur. Did Lamberts come with these? I will include it if you want it. 11) Saddle post with no markings. It did come off of my Dad's Lambert but I don't know if it's original. It is a nice post for the mid '70's, infinitely adjustable.
All these parts are dirty. I figure you might want to clean it yourself instead of me messing it up.
Like Brian above I'll only charge for shipping. Bike fixer please PM me and let me know! Andy Brothers North Carolina
