Not to disagree with any of that , but I think at £300 it will be there for a very long time. I let mine go for £140 earlier this summer, and I had it on sale for a good few weeks and only had one serious enquiry. And then I had to bundle it up in a sale with the Superbike; it wasn't going to sell on its own. I guess I was extrapolating back quite a few years to when I bought my Viscount 600ex. I think that was shortly before the first Death Forks Rally - I took the bike there for an outing for it but rode the gold Lambert. Anyway, I paid £98 for that and it has a similar quality of equipment to the 18ax, although not the special bits like the Deore triple and the Showa racks, and in similar condition. So £300 does not seem outrageous to me, although I have seen comments elsewhere that the market for vintage bike in general is depressed at the moment, for some reason. The pictures of the Superbike are very good. A reproach to me as I have a Superbike (Supabike?) frame in the shed awaiting building. It distinctly frowned at me yesterday when I was looking for other bike bits.

I too have a Supabike (pseudo-Supa) impatiently waiting it’s turn. Way too much going on in my world. As far as the c/v bike market being depressed, I think ALL the bike market is depressed except e-bikes. At least that’s the case at the shop I contract with. Best, John “wheelson”

I feel like the L'Eroica thing in UK/Europe really bumped up the market for anything like that, even if not used for L'Eroica. Clothes, accessories and bikes of a certain era were very desirable and the price went a bit daft. It is now back down to prices almost 10 years ago.
