I've posted this on bicycles.net.au but thought I'd post here as well because members here are very discerning and experienced with bikes of all kinds.
Found on the side of the road, built up as a single speed but with old steel parts. By the age of them it was built up this way probably in the 1970s. But the frameset is very fine. Completely chromed frame, Simplex drop-outs, Frejus seat post cluster. All the lugs have a design I'm calling "Lone Ranger mask' cutouts, which might be a hint as to its provenance.
The frame seems sound and straight, except for the atrocity that is the BB shell. Some bell-end previous owner decided the way to stop the BB creaking was to f&cking weld it in place. So if you're squeamish, take care as you scroll down...
