Hi, not wishing to gloat, but I have just bought, for a good price I think, a NOS bb complete with Circlips and bearings. The bearings are butter smooth and are NSK 6003DUs. It's possible to date fairly accurately since it came in a padded envelope from Trusty Viscount in Potters Bar to what I assume was a bike shop in East Moseley, Surrey. The postmark is 26 October 1979. flic.kr/p/2ooXpz8flic.kr/p/2ooVhFJBy the same post I also got a pair of Viscount pedals WITH pedal caps. £35 the lot + £5 P&P. |

Gloat away! If you can't share that good news here with fellow Viscount enthusiasts , where can you? I imagine if you told non-cyclist friends, the resulting blank faces would be a picture!

Great find! Nice to know that such goodies are still around 50 years out. It gives us all a reason to keep searching out old shops.
