Nice bike. Do you know the model? It looks like my Gran Sports with the full-chrome fork, If so, it would have a threaded BB shell on a fillet brazed Aerospace frame. Mine does not have the Aerospace decal.

Hi Brian - yes, Aerospace, fillet brazed frame. It doesn't say model but its one of those era Sports/ Gran Sports.
Looks like the 'official' Tange replacement fork , but could be wrong. And on closer look, might be 23"?
If it were £100 less, and 120 miles nearer, I would have it as a replacement for my rather battered red Aerospace Sport.

Hi gang,
It looks like an Aerospace Sport to me. That's the same crankset as spec'd and also came with the full chrome fork and press fit BB as you for sure already know. Nice bike. My Gran Sports has the half chrome fork and as Brian said, a threaded standard BB. The Sport is a nice ride. Road trip Jem?

Too far, too expensive and not enough space for it. I really must sell a couple soon! (or build a bigger shed)

I hear you, Jem. I was moving things around in the garage today to get ready for winter and the biggest problem was moving 8 bikes back and forth while I organized. I'll put most in the basement (with the others) soon but I also really need to start trimming the collection. I think there are 11 or 12, so maybe I should simply wear one out each year and then sell it. That strategy would last me until age 80.

"I really must sell a couple soon! (or build a bigger shed)"
Actually, adding space does not resolve the accumulate bikes issue; it just makes for more bikes! Ask me how I know

Yes, you have a pretty severe case there, Jim. Haha. Brian So true! Funny thing, if I had one of the pictured bikes, would it be considered excessive? My bikes and pile of parts (collected over decades) cost about the same. As for me, I choose the latter. Not to mention the excellent therapy provided by working on my old bikes. Taking a rest, on my daily ride, I recently sat under a tree chatting with a fellow cyclist. He was ridding a nice new 14 grand road bike. His wife had a less costly bike at only 12 grand. We talked and I shared pictures of my bikes and I looked over their carbon creations (electric shift, imagine that). I decided I was getting off cheap and having more fun to boot. He was thrilled that his bike only weighed 15 pounds. Did I mention that my old stuff is appreciating? I wonder what the value of a fancy new carbon bike will be in ten years or so. Yes, I am getting off cheap. The beauty of cycling is that someone could buy the bike featured in this thread, make that his only bike, and have just as much fun as any of us. I know this to be true as at one time, that was me.
Cheers Jim

And they don't even give you pedals! I never owned a bike of that caliber. My most expensive bike, a Trek Madone 3.1, was probably about $1500 when I bought it 8 years ago. Checking my RideWithGPS bike log, I see that I last used it on 4/22/21, probably to see if I still wanted it. Prior to that, it hung on the wall for over 4 years unused. The last 4 rides before the hanging all resulted in tire or mechanical failures of some sort.
Funny thing, I mentioned I must have 11 or 12 bikes. Wrong! I counted them and there are 18.
And then there is the parallel collection of banjos and guitars,
Bikes, Banjos, and Babes. Well OK, just one babe and she's a keeper.

Brian, you have got me beat! I only have 16 that are ready to ride. See them here. I have reached a point where if I acquire or build another, I must try to sell one. I also have a dozen or so future projects that exist as my stash of frames and parts. As for other things, not a single banjo or guitar; I have no musical ability whatsoever. I like sports cars and have (in addition to my regular cars) a Porsche and an MG. I only have (and ever will have) one babe! My wonderful wife (of 41 years) is the love of my life and (to put up with me) a very understanding lady.
All the Best Jim

Actually Jim, you have me beat on bikes. I have 14 ride-able and the other four are disassembled. The Porsche and MG outweigh, literally and figuratively, my motley collection of guitars, banjos, and ability to play them. I edge you slightly on monogamous babe-years, 45 vs. 41.

The place where this shop is is just round the corner from where I live. In fact, I must pass it every time I cycle to/from work, although it is on a sort of small industrial estate, set back from the road. I have seen the bike popping up in my Gumtree e-mail for some time. Although it seems a bit pricey, they say that it is fully serviced with warranty, which must be worth a bit - if you are close enough to take it back if it goes wrong! If anyone is seriously interested in the bike, I would be happy to go to the shop and take a look, measure, take more photos, chat with the seller &c and take delivery for future collection should anyone take the plunge and buy it. Brian and Jim, I know I'm in with the right group when I read your posts. I think I'm out of room in the house at this point for more bikes, but I guess there's always something I could throw out in the shed. It never ends! 13 Viscounts, all running with 9 in regular rotation and 1 dedicated to the indoor trainer. Two '80's bikes, Vitus 979 and Centurion Ironman Expert. Two "modern bikes, Trek Madone 5.2 and Motobecane Ti SL. Finally, a Kona Koa MTB and a Kestrel 500sci decommissioned tri bike. Like you guys, I bought in to the upgrade game when the old bikes felt outdated. As long as I'm racing I need that Trek! I don't think I'll ever be able to do the buy one/sell one deal as I can't part with any of my "kids". Everyone is a keeper, most importantly my wife, only going on 40 years this coming June and today's her birthday as well.

I think the old touring Deore might be first, then maybe the Aerospace Sport (that's seen better days). I have to hold on to a couple of nice ones (400ax and the Supabike) and the folder though
