Not heard of the Turbo before, I think they're reaching quite a bit with that price though.

Ridiculous! It's a bike similar to my Sprint, with steel rims, low value components, etc. This on doesn't even have a front mech and it's pretty rusty. That seller clearly doesn't know what he or she's doing. The bike as it is is worth no more than 10 quid. I bet the BB is totally shot, the chain worn, too, which possibly means it needs a total overhaul.
As much as I loved my Sprint, it wasn't worth much either.

I might go up to 3 figures on that one....
£7.99
Note- I must add that to the official list of Viscount models on the 'data-base'

It was only the unusual turbo name that peaked my interest.

No, I never heard of 'Turbo' either. Good spot, as it ticks another in my iSpy book of Viscount.

If it were 10 quid I'd get it for the frame only and build it with the Sprint parts. Still dreaming about the wonderful smooth shifting, and that with a Huret groupset. Oh, how I miss that bike.

No, I take it back- I must have seen a Turbo before , as it's already in the list/data -base on the general chat area. That's one good thing about getting old; you forget things you once knew & they are just as interesting second time around.

Err, you're not old enough to become forgetful, my dear.

Seriously, the guy must be a tad over awed by our love for Viscounts. He's obviously a house clearer and is trying to make loads out of other peoples grief.Never forget they get paid to clear a house, not cheap, and try to make a killing on anything old and collectible. I think I'll put in my will that any Viscount bikes,or bits there of,must be taken to DFRN and distributed to people who genuinely love them. That bike is pants! Cheers, Pete.
