I'll have to pass on that one. Brian But that’s the super rare “Areospace” model. Best, John “wheelson”

If he wants $800, you’d think he’d at least move it away from the bins when taking the photo. Could have tidied up his garden hose too.

If that bike is worth $800, I am a rich man. It does have the hard to find Viscount leather saddle.
Cheers Jim

But , it is a 'barn find'...that triples the normal price compared to saying it was in the shed for a few years. The power of advertising!

My Viscount has the Viscount leather saddle; rides much like an old Ideal. Since most of my bikes have leather saddles, my butt is well broken in and accustomed to such saddles. I find the Viscount saddle to be acceptable; but no Brooks. I have one bike with an old Selle Italia Turbo, Bernard Hinault saddle; that one hurts my butt. Just leather over hard plastic; Hinault must have had callouses on his behind!
Ride happy Jim

I have only one Viscount leather saddle, hard as a rock and good for “special occasions” only. The Brooks Pro on my Schwinn Paramount is one of my most comfortable. Terry TFI’s with the huge cutout seem to work very well for me, even better than the modern cutout and drop nose comfort saddles. Best, John “wheelson”

By far the most comfortable saddle for me is a well broken in Brooks B17 Imperial; Too bad they are so expensive. I usually buy them used and hope they are not stretched to the limit and correctly broken in for my precious bottom.

Jim, I like the looks of leather saddles and envy your ability to use them. For me, they are just too wide and cannot be broken in. I tried in vain for several years to break in a Brooks Professional (with the big copper rivets) with no luck, then it sat on a shelf for 30 years. Ten years ago I was about to throw it away but decided to put it on eBay and was stunned that a bidding war ensued and I got about $125 for it. I think the regular Brooks saddles are 175mm wide. I've looked into the Brooks "narrow" saddles but they are still 151mm wide. My preference tends toward the various Bontrager 138mm models. I can those all day right out of the box. I bought several from the Trek clearance page for $20 a piece, delivered to a bike shop nearby. I can usually find a new take-off saddle on eBay for $40 or so. They were probably taken off so somebody could put on a Brooks leather saddle.
