Hi All,
Just thought I'd re-post this and see if anyone can add to it?
I think it a worthwhile task just to gather all of the model names together in one place. Then to add the details would be great , such as colours, sizes, original price, weight, components (as far as possible ) and if mixte was available etc.
Please let me know any errors or omissions. Or feel free to copy and paste all of this into your own response and amend accordingly. (I realise my colour naming system is a very clumsy attempt, so feel free to suggest a more accurate one)
So , here goes...

Just finishing off my Frank N.Stein Sport, just the bar tape and ends to fit. Currently equiped with the following;- Sport frame in red.Crosslight alloy front fork,Prestine bottom bracket, fits well. Stronglight crankset, rear wheel rebuilt on a Plessier small flange hub, front wheel from a Bianchi scrounged from the tip in Swindon,6 speed free wheel 14-32,original down tube shifters. Weighed it on the bath room scales,22 pounds!! I should find the hills a bit easier on DFR2. I'll attempt to post some pics when the tape's on. Cheers, Pete.

I've come to the conclusion that the various Viscount models were a hotch-potch!
I recently noticed a 10-speed Tulsa on eBay, then a week later there was a 5-speed Tulsa for sale!
Also for sale on t' 'Bay was an International 'Colorado GT', 5-speed with skip tooth freewheel, whereas just after DFR last year I acquired an International 'Special', 10-speed, with porthole chainwheel.
Was 'International' the model, or 'Colorado GT' and 'Special'?
And how many other forum members have a 5-speed 'Sport'?
We suspect that cash shortages led to differing components being 'chucked' on the bikes, but model names also seem to have been used on a whim.
Regards,
Sprockit

I agree. I gave up trying to do any kind of categorising with components on the list above as it all got a bit much for me. Likewise, putting them into model grouping just was too much for my brain. Anyway, I have posted this advert for the 'lost' model called the Allrounder before, but it struck me a few days ago when this Victor went through eBay, that it must have the original saddle and bars, as must the other Victor that Cusqueno spotted in Thame. Therefore, it's a quantity of Victor that went through using old stock from the Allrounder. Almost creating a sub-model offshoot of the Victor in it's own right?

I feel the same. I think the only ones that were clearly to identify were the Lamberts (all three GPs), the Pros, although they also came with either the TA/SR chain set or the port hole ones, and the Sports. All other models are a little mish mashy. Victor and Sebring both came with semi lugging, by the way. I have the blue one in that picture above, which is now yellow. Weird they used this wonderful Aerospace frame and botched it up with steel/cheap components.
Edited to add: the Victor and Sebring might have been just a cheaper version of the Lambert Allrounder, to target a wider market. Like some of the Sport models and the Sprint are lugged steel frames (I mean not chromoly).

Hopefully this should show Mrs Sprockit's Viscount La Scala. Badge-engineered, it was produced in Italy and has 24-inch wheels, as opposed to the 20-inch on many folding bikes.

I purchased the Red Viscount in the picture and converted it to a single speed. I know it's kind of sacrilegious but many of the parts and components were not in good shape and original parts are expensive.
It's a wonderful bike. Lovely ride. It's pounding the streets of London having been resurrected.
Ill stick on some pictures when I get a chance.

Mark - I won't judge, I just think it's great that you got it up & running & are getting good use from it. If you still have saddle, mudguards & bars etc I'd be interested as I am doing a bit of an homage to the Allrounder. Edit -Mark, just read your post again (more slowly this time) and realise it wasn't the Allrounder you bought but the one above. Therefore ignore my request for the original parts you might have no use for. I was looking for the parts from the 'Allrounder'.

More pictures of Mrs Sprockit's Viscount La Scala. It's a large Italian-built folding bike with 24 inch wheels, and the tyres are 24x1.75. A size-comparison shot beside my International which has 27 inch wheels and a 23 1 1/2 inch frame Drive side Non-drive side Frame transfer/decal Sturmey Archer 3-speed AW hub gear, date stamped February 1982 Bottom bracket adjustable cup and serrated lock nut Locking mechanism Brake levers . . . . . . and calipers Neat reflector on rear mudguard, and pump under rear rack Saddle is plastic and a bit on the rigid side, so backsides need to be hardened before long usage - or changed for one that is more forgiving on the old posterior! All-in-all a lovely bike - small enough to save some space, but big enough to do some serious riding. Sprockit

Inox stainless steel mudguards ooze quality, and the chainguard is a chrome plated one from the same manufacturer.
Local bike shop owner thought it was rather a good quality bike.

I think this is a better place to add info on the Viscounts of the thousand series including a junior racer, motocross series, and "exclusive" (and legible!) dealer price of the aerospace models. Also, special for Whippet and Busaste, I obtained the Yamaha factory photo sent to dealers of the Aerospace Sport. All is now legible with model details and additional closeup pics of the V 7000 SS down to the 1000 model now on my Flickr acct. www.flickr.com/photos/98878999@N02/with/16724154448/Cheers, Did I mention, the dealers were making peanuts on these bikes. Its shocking to see invoice vs retail!

Thanks for those scans.
Those V series don't surface very often. Maybe they didn't sell many?

Think I saw one mid-level V series on C.L. once a long time ago. They were probably the last hurrah in the states. I'll bet few dealers were interested after the fork fiasco and slim markups. Never did find out who Roger Young & Associates are/were whose name appears as the licensee of Viscount in the USA on the page with the junior racers. These appear to be post Yamaha which makes the whole thing a deeper mystery. Did Roger end up with the old stock??? Where is Busaste when we need him? !!!!

Try right click and open in a new window. I have to do that on any links on the forum. Strangely,I don't need to do that on the CTC site. Cheers, Pete.

Wouldn't work for me and I have an FB account. I found it by going back through the Steel is Real posts on FB. Bike is that lovely shade of maroon used on some Lamberts with white on the head and seat tubes and an updated version of the badge. It's called Tourist Trophy, with flat bars, Sturmey Archer gears & a Brooke's saddle.
