I am pretty sure this is a Reg Harris badged Lambert, produced for a short while only. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360919520968 The seller mentions Lambert wheels and brakes (does he mean brake levers?), but see also the death forks and the pedals. And the colour is the same as pictures of the Reg Harris model I have seen. Obviously it's been subjected to some up-dating -perhaps to get rid of the BB spindle with the untapered ends? - it looks as though it has a conventional BB. But a mice bike. Here's a plan.
Buy it, then sell the double bottle holder on the front to an Eroica enthusiast for more than than you paid for the bike.
I'm not joking, they fetch big money.

Why is it people can't grasp the concept of how a quick release works on a bike axle? Other than that,a marketing exercise at the time?I know Reg had a come back,but can't remember what year.I have vague feeling it was for the 25th anniversary of his world championship win. I do know he did participate in a "high wheeler" event in Knutsford Cheshire in the late 70's or early 80's.I think I was there.Well I did survive the 60's!!! Cheers, Pete.

Just answered my own question.He made a come-back in 1974 and won the British Championship. Rumour has it,he actually used his 1947 Raleigh! Hence the Lambert is '74 or later. Cheers, Pete.

He was in his fifties in '74 - I think 54. IIRC, he died in his seventies (74?) after suffering a stroke while cycling. Better to wear out than rust away!

The bike hasn't,yet.I would rather have one of his endorsed Raleighs from the early '50s though. They were 531,and he did actually use one to get the road miles into his legs. Cheers, Pete.

Picked up Reg last night to join the growing family, Sport, Colorado GT and Alamo. It was dark & wet so not had chance to give it a once over, on first impressions, inner tubes, pair of brake blocks and it may be good to go. Plan to have the bottle holder on the sport for l'eroica, need a pair of ally bottles.

Those alloy bottles of which you speak ( the ones with the cork stoppers) go for huge amounts of cash, if you can even find them. They do look good though, but they also require, (in my opinion) a set of the double bottles holders for the handlebars. These are also very hard to find and cost an arm and a leg. My tip if you want to buy some is, scour eBay etc and look for old second hand bikes with them already on. You will probably find a second hand bike cheaper than just the bottles and/or holder. If the owner has worked out that they are worth money then they will sell them separately. I once saw a pair buried away in a listing of various bike items, that I let slip through my hands. My best guess is that 2 bottles in good condition with a double bottle holder for the bars would fetch at least £150. crazy but true.
