It’s basically just a rebadged Lambert - original shifters and front derailleur and without a hanger for the RD. Red label Simplex often fitted to Lamberts. Good value if you want an early version with original components. Ad visible to check front forks.

Cusqueno, are you under the opinion that the Mk III forks are safe to use? I’ve read blogs that state they are the “safest” version and I asked an engineer if there is a way of testing them, he said there isn’t really because you would have to put them under greater stress than they are intended for to get an answer. I know some have their own personal opinions but not sure what the general consensus is. Feels wrong asking the question, like the first rule of Death Forks is don’t talk about Death Forks...

Yes, I'm wondering about opinions on the type 3 forks as well. The pseudo-Supa frameset I am currently building up has one. I also have a lookalike chrome steel fork as an alternate. The plan is to use a black cartridge bearing headset that resembles the original Viscount one, then swap the forks whenever I take the bike for a serious ride. I may do the same with the wheelset since the wheels I built for the bike are on sewup (sprint) rims, and I'm just too darn old to be dealing with flats on glued-on tires! Best, John "wheelson"
