Hi all - Just a couple of changes on the forum.
I've added a couple of the boards to the category of 'must be a member & signed in' to see.
Also, probably going back to try Google ads on here again, and as such have embedded Google Analytics 'tagging' ID on the site . I don't think you will see any noticeable difference to anything you do, but thought I would share this just one case you had any problems that you previously didn't have. If you see any change in your use of the site related to speed , or glitchy-ness then drop me a line please. It is just a code for Google to track who's on, gather data and then use the data for maximising the adverts for revenue.
The analytics show lots of interesting data that I will share on the site if you are interested. Things like, which countries visit the site most , even down to individual towns and things like that, return visits and what pages people look at, and what never gets looked at.
I and also looking at approving members before they can post, which would prevent most , or all, of the spam issues (admittedly we don't get many ).
So, nothing major, or interesting and might not make much difference.
Regards Admin

BTW All of those Illinois users are in Chicago. It could be a glitch , as I don't think that sounds right.

Five in California! Perhaps we should arrange a ride?

Goodness! Pennsylvania USA doesn't even show up. And I my wife says I spent tons of time here on the list! Best, John "wheelson" I don't know the mechanics of it John, but that would indicate some issue with it's recording methods. It could be something such as type of browser, or ad-blocking software or cookies? I don't know the mysteries of the internet, but it's clear that you are on here and it doesn't pick you up, so it's faulty. The huge numbers in Chicago would indicate it's unreliability ? Unless there is a huge underground silent Viscount bike gang there who never post but visit regularly ? It is also picking up casual browsers who visit, if only briefly- it's not linked to forum membership.

My comment was mostly in jest, somethings work well with the big G, some don't. They tried a worldwide mapping of membership over on the CR list using G-Maps (I think). After several tries and numerous headaches, nothing being said about it lately. Of course with 4000+ membership, it couldn't be easy.
Many thanks for all your good work here.

Best, John "wheelson" You do show up when I hover my pointer over your state John, it's just that with only 1 user, your state doesn't make the top 10 shown. What's CR?

Being the only one from Pennsylvania, I don't know whether to feel honored or embarrassed! LOL! CR is the Classic Rendezvous list, a pretty neat forum that is dedicated to classic lightweight bikes up to 1983. Approximately 4000 members worldwide, listmeister is Dale Brown, a really great guy and a bike shop owner in Greensboro, North Carolina USA. www.classicrendezvous.com/ I believe at least one other Lambert/Viscount member is also a member of CR. It's definitely worth a look. Best, John "wheelson"

Usually it's just me. There are two other guys I know who ride them occasionally, but not regularly, and that's it. Hmmm...
