I’m struggling to find a decent source to find old school style saddles and wondered what everyone else does?
Not just for Viscount but any 70’s/80’s refurb.
I just begrudge paying £30+ for a battered old Brooks/Viscount/San Marco Rolls and the rest. Looked at places like Velo Orange, Temple Cycles, BankruptBikeParts, eBay and even a Fixie website (which has actually got some decent(ish) stuff) but nothing jumps out as reasonable value.
Any other places?

PlanetX can sometimes have good offers on. Just had a look, the Holdsworth Grand Sport saddle is exactly what I’m looking for and at a decent price. Thanks Scott.

If you're looking for a new leather saddle, with all the joy of breaking it in, cycle touring specialists Spa Cycles in Harrogate have their own range starting from £44.00. Their models range from wide to narrow, sprung or unsprung, and Cro-Mo or Ti framed, with colour choices of Brown, Black or Honey. The narrow Spa Aire cowhide and cro-mo model (currently £48) looks similar to Brooks' Swallow, while the Spa Nidd models (also £48) look a bit like a Brooks B17. Cycling plus reviewed the Nidd saddle in 2013, though prices have since risen. I don't have any experience with their saddles myself, but I've always found Spa Cycles' 'no-nonsense' Yorkshire approach entirely satisfactory.

I tried an NOS Viscount leather saddle and couldn't walk for weeks....I think Cusqueno had that one, I am not sure how his undercarriage is? I have a variety and try and balance retro look over comfort. The Charge Spoon is a nice comfortable saddle and then I had one of these microfibre VeloOrange ones too...these have the saddle bag clips velo-orange.com/collections/saddles

Thanks guys, appreciate the input. I looked at Spa Cycles, some decent stuff on there, someone else mentioned Charge Spoon as well. Found a fully sprung leather saddle made by pedal pro on eBay for one of the 3 Speeds at £20, took a gamble, it arrived today and looks great. Pics below. Those Holdsworth saddles look the best value for vintage racing bikes up to yet, I’ll report back on that when it arrives.
