Does anyone know where I might find a pair of these? The BankruptBikeparts company in UK has now run out. (who Rob put me on to last time i needed some)
I think I can find 1" but even they are very expensive.
If you know of anyone, please let me know. Thanks Jem

Cheers Franco, I'm probably going to have to bite the bullet and go for those. I am a bit of a 'budget bike' hobby kind of guy, and when I have to pay almost as much for a pair of tyres as I did for the bike, I can't help but feel like there must be a better deal somewhere. But then again, if I weren't so particular about the amber wall and narrowness of tyre, I could get something much cheaper. You can be fussy or cheap skate, but not both at the same time! The last pair only cost £14.99 and have last ok, and they were an unknown NOS.

The cheapest amber wall tyres I’ve found are the Raleigh CST type but they’re 27 1 1/4 Link

Let me know how they turn out. I got put off them after reading some reviews, “vintage tyres = vintage puncture protection” kind of thing.

I'm putting them on tomorrow , but my wife won't put many miles on them. I love the bike so much that I will probably do more than her on it. I think it has a lower centre of gravity or something that just make it a pleasure to ride Camera Roll-341 by Sooper 8, on Flickr

That’s nice, both bikes are.
I’ve got no issues riding a Mixte or Step-through.
In fact, I might order some of those tyres this week, I’ve got a Viking Mixte I’d like to get up and running.
