Back in the 70's, my parents bought me the most gorgeous Viscount International. It will have been 1975-ish. I know that it had the following specs as it's burned into my memory but this doesn't seem to ring true with what I'm finding when I google Viscount International: Aerospace lugless frame. Porthole chainset. Bright Orange, single colour paint job(in perhaps the crappiest quality know to man!). White, flakey 'International' graphic in block capital Art Deco style font. Alloy rims(super flexy) + Q/R hubs. Weinmann Brev. quick release centre-pull brakes. Alloy pedals with the 'V' logo pop-out caps + toeclips. Unfortunately I have no photographic evidence As far as I can tell, the Internationals I find now have lugged frames with none of the above specs. Can anyone help me put my mind at rest!!?? I'd love to own another btw Cheers,Hilton.

Recently I started a rediscover Viscount project, by buying an Aerospace frame set from the UK. It was an orange colour all over, which I found unusual and not a Viscount colour for me. Also the paint job, or powder coating, was really bad. Lumpy and well so bad I assumed it was not original. I had no hesitation to rip it of and paint it, in my colour scheme. If you follow the link to my photo collection of this project so far, at the beginning there are some shots showing the original frame which was completely without decals. So perhaps it was an 'International' like yours?? Somewhere else on this forum there is a table registry of members viscounts, and one of those is an orange aerospace but not an International I think.. cheers Time for a Viscount

There's a discussion about the Aerospace International model on the Cycling UK Forum (formerly CTC), with some expert opinion from Busaste. (The CTC Viscount thread was started by Busaste and was the Genesis for this forum. At the time and maybe still, the Viscount thread was the longest one on that forum. It is worth searching for information and checking occasionally in case anything new has been added.) There's a useful summary of known Lambert and Viscount models on this forum here. It's known to be incomplete, but covers most of the models. With regard to International models, the name was applied to some bikes with Taiwanese frames, like Colorado International, Sebring International, but the bike under discussion is an earlier one with a filet brazed 'Aerospace' frame and (it seems) an unpredictable range of components.

I have a bike that matches your description, plus it has a Lambert stem, Lambert FD and Simplex RD.
If you want more information, go onto the Cycling UK (CTC) forum, and there are a series of posts by 'Timbertron' starting at the bottom of page 43, with replies by Busaste - who to us is the font of all knowledge Viscount. Busaste posted a couple of shots of a similar bike with a 25" frame, my frame is 23", and Timbertron's looks to be 21".
Timbertron posted a picture of his nearly restored bike on page 76, after which he's disappeared into oblivion!
As with other forum members, Photobucket had taken down the pictures I'd posted here 'cos I hadn't subscribed for third party hosting.

They're back!
Just found the pics of my bike on this forum - go to 'photographs of your bike' - page 4 - and click on 'Viscount International Special'.
I just had a look for them and they came up.
Best pic is on 'photographs of your bike' - page 2 - 'Out and About 2016'
