Lovely bike, very original. We don't often see Viscounts this clean and original on this side of the pond. I blame the damp climate. Ohio must be very conducive to Viscount survival. Interesting colour: is it red or is that a fault in the colour (color) rendering? Perhaps the general redness (tyres, toe strap) is meant to reflect the bloody history of the Banks of the O-hi-o? (not originally written by Joan Baez though - see Wikipedia.)

Nice music trivia I think that many of these bikes were hardly ridden and just put away so they come up very clean and original. You could get your GP in blue/white (like my Mojave) or red/white. I remember them both being equipped the same and the GP model being the biggest seller up in school. I know one of my classmates still has his original GP. His Pro was such a hot bike at the time that it was stolen

I have a late fillet brazed Lambert (looks just like a Viscount except for the bars and the 'L's) which has the same pattern but in orange where the GP is red.

I hope you're happy, cos I've just spent far to many hours starting from your Neil Young link and, unfortunately, there's always more links that need to be followed. If there is a heaven, which I somehow doubt, can the omnipotent one just arrange for us all to follow these links for eternity, please!!!!! Cheers Jem,Not a wasted Saturday night for me. Pete.

The bike went for $175 on e-bay today so there are devotees out in Ohio!
