Did anyone notice two eBay entries for gold plated Lamberts, which appeared briefly on eBay (last Sunday I think) but then disappeared without trace? The ads were very similar, from the same seller and for pristine looking bikes which (it said) had spent their lives hung on a wall. I think the ads might have come from Switzerland and the prices were quoted in a range of currencies. If I recall correctly, about GBP2,400. Both ads said that 3 were available. Anyway, the posts are appearing in my eBay alerts: ENDING SOON - GET IT NOW Lambert 24 ct Gold Plated Grand Prix Professional N... But when I click on the link I get a message that the page is missing. Odd.

hi-i also noticed these ads since it is my exact gold bike that i bought from a guy in oregon earlier this year..when i questioned him on these ads he was vague..thse ads have appeard numerous times over the last few months-i have not clicked on them..the first seller was in germany, then england and so on..luckily i have the nos gold bike at home safely ensconsed with all original parts; i have no regrets. but i am miffed since this type of thing must be illegal on ebay..it is the exact same ad used to sell my bike; pic for pic, word for word..crazy world out there...

I enquired on this several times as the ad is obviously not genuine, he also has an ad for a vintage Gibson guitar that appears and then goes away if you make a bid. Sent a message to E Bay about this and they obviously don’t give a monkeys as I have never had any response and it keeps popping up from time to time. I now ignore it if I see it!

I called eBay and spoke to a live rep. Ad was pulled by eBay because of the external link to another site to complete the transaction. When it looks to good to be true, it probably is. Maybe one day the seller will come back with a legit listing but I'm not holding my breath!
