Somebody should grab this one...looks all original , maybe £30 worth of saddle makes it attractive. Not very well advertised so might be able to nick in and grab it www.gumtree.com/p/bicycles/viscount-lambert/1302764019If I didn't already have one I'd be on my down there by now.

Has no one put a £99 offer in on this yet? Come on it's fathers day, treat yourself! If you've got your kids around for lunch/dinner then you could even twist their arm to go pick it up for you?

The Groupset would cost you a £100+ and it looks in good condition. I’m nowhere close to this so not for me plus pea green would not be my first choice I have to concede, my daughter who is fashionable maybe but not me :-)

I’m nowhere close to this so not for me plus pea green would not be my first choice I have to concede, my daughter who is fashionable maybe but not me :-) It wasn't really my kind of green either but I figured I should fully embrace the 80's-ness of it and learn to love it. Back in those days and just before when I bought a Viscount, I got a sandy brown Indy 500, based mainly on the colour being nice and subdued. This green would have been the last I would have picked back then despite it being a way better bike than the Indy 500. I had no sense back then and have no taste now

There are quite a few Carlton’s in what now look gaudy colours. The Corsa is regularly seen in lilac and another was a brown that reminds me of.........well let’s not go there. I have a 1939 Carlton Flyer frame that has been repainted in a period light green ready for rebuilding once I source the final few period parts, a task that’s not easy and more expensive than I expected due to inflated “Eroica ready” prices these days. It was not my first choice but once I started to remove the old paint found this slightly sparkling green under that Bob Jackson’s have managed to find for me in their collection. I’m still not sold on the colour but my OCD approach to originality pushed me down that route.... flic.kr/p/27iVNcyAnother bike I’m doing at the moment is more subdued, a 1970’s JT Lambert which is quite tatty paint wise but I kind of like it’s battled look and really don’t want to paint i it, it is what it is, 48 years old with scars.......! However it’s another British bike builder that the average person has forgotten about so one for my collection. Also turned out to be 531 Steel but French gauge for some reason and under the grime was quite a well specified bike, not a bad £20 really 😊 flic.kr/p/25cnyUJflic.kr/p/KPcwJf

You're not wrong. I paid £97 for mine when it was in this sort of condition. And that was years ago - certainly before DFR1, as I remember taking it there. £145 isn't bad and you should get it a bit cheaper after it's been on sale all this time. Raymondo?

Anyone... If only to keep it out of the hands of the Hoxton Hipsters Fixed Wheel Club!!!
