I don't really understand this kind of listing on ebay, where there is open bidding but also a 'make an offer'.? Does that mean they are looking for offers above £50 then? If so, why not use a 'buy it now' price of say £80 and then 'make an offer', which would be lower than £80?
Someone had something on there the other day with a couple of hours to go with this kind of listing - I 'made an offer' less than the price shown as no bids were on it. It was rejected.
I guess if you really have no idea of the value of an item then that kind of listing might be worth doing?
